I have concentrated on my Flower basket Shawl and June postcard swap in this month project spectrum ” blue”. I think I enjoy it much more just work in one project at a time, I feel more comfortable this way. Last couple of month, I did tried to do a few project at the same time, I don’t feel stress but just uneasy sometime. So I guess next month or so I will just keep it one at a time.

Flower basket Shawl

After finish blocking the Flower Basket shawl, I finally feel relieved, the shawl turn out pretty good and the size is just want I wanted. It took me an hour plus just to pin down the shawl since I don’t have the blocking broad and wire. I have to thread in yarn and pin it to my carpet, thank god I have a spare bed room!!

Not sure I stretch it to much or not, I trying to get as big as i can.

My flower basket shawl didn’t get too far since I started it two week ago, it get slower and slower each increase of the pattern…it took me an hour more to finish 10 row. I didn’t know when to stop now since the lace can’t really tell the size until it block out, I already finish two ball of yarns, I guess I will knit one or two more ball cos I want it big and able to toss over my shoulder. I ‘m not so good at judging the size, so anyone who are good at it, please tell me when should I stop…I ‘m using Filatrura Di crosa DIWA in fine merinos, about 202 yds each ball on 4.5mm needle.

I have received my Rowanspun DK in Goblin, is green with some blue and brown bit , I been wanting this yarn for so long. I love the color, but don’t know how it feel when is knit, hopefully is easy to knit. I have decide to use this yarn for the Cropped cardigan on Knit.1 mag which require worsted weight yarn, but the Rowanspun DK is slightly thinner than the worsted weight that suggested, I guess I will take a chance just follow straight from pattern or crack my head to work out the gauge.

Today is our 4th year our wedding anniversary..and both of us have forgot about it till last night, and also last year..oops. My husband cook me a really nice breakfast this morning and give me a pair of earring as gift…actually we sort of have 3 anniversary, on the 5th June is our officially registration date, on the 11th June is our wedding ceremony date, and on the 14th June is our reception date. I know is confuse.. because on chinese custom we believe on certain date are auspicious day to get marry, that’s why we have set it on the 11th, but we couldn’t get any booking for the reception nor the registration on the same date, so end up separated into 3 days. It is a very memorable week beside all the preparation, my mother in-law who came all the way from England have admitted to hospital on the day she arrived. She fell on the shower and have to have an immediate surgery. My husband and I lose tons of weight on that month, however it turn out to be a beautiful wedding, till now we still talk and laugh about it.

I have started a Flower basket shawl ..a blue one..actually I did in blue is not really about the project spectrum, is I have seen one done in blue and I really love it. So, I decide to start it this month to go with the theme color of project spectrum..heh..heh.

Stepping into June it is the time to said goodbye to green or maybe not? I guess not, because green is always all around us if we just pay a little attention to the things around us and we will realized how important the green are to us. whatever it is I really happy what I have done in May even though is not a lot.
