Just complete this bolero last night, is a simply bolero. It turn out quite o.k, except the arm part is a bit too tight, hopefully after a few wash will be loosen out. I knit this bolero from top down raglan style and make the sleeve slightly bell shape. The yarn that I used is from Handpaintedyarn.com, is a very beautiful yarns in heavy worsted weight, but the down side is the handspun yarn come in thick and thin (very obvious in every skein), it turn out my bell sleeve one are bigger bell than the other, I have to re-do the whole sleeve in different sts just to get it look the same. Beside, the yarns also is a bit too warm for the weather here, I guess I only got to wear it when I go on holiday.

Gauge : 5.5 mm needle
While waiting for my new yarn to arrive, I have test knit Lady Eleanor from the Scarfstyle. I knit the shawl from the yarn that Angela send to me, Noro Kureyon. This is the first time I knit in Noro yarn and I love it!! I cant stop knitting it once I start, the change of colour is so exciting and sort of keep me going..and going. It turn out I finish the whole skein, but I have a doubt on the size..is too wide and I used 5.5mm needle, the sts look a bit loose. I think I might take it out, decrease two more square and stick to 5 mm needle that the yarns call for.

First felt..

I always amaze by the craft of felting, after searching and getting some tips from my swap pal carolyne, I decided to try it out. The process of felting the wool are really fun, but as a first timer, I have make a lot of mistake ..I used cold soapy water instead of hot soapy water, I forgot to make the felt large than the actual size..and etc.. The felt piece that I wanted to make is suppose to be a make-up pouch, but it turn out like a coin pouch…This is the my original idea of pouch..however ..

look at it, the first layer of the wool doesn’t blend too well with others.. I still have a doubt whether I should continue sew it the zipper or not.. it look horrible..

After a long battled with the knit.1 cropped cardigan, I have jump into knitting small and rather fast project. This is another fast project..the minisweater for my niece . Is actually the boobholder/minsweater by glampyre.com, the only thing that I alter is omitted increase sts at the boob areas. Because of the thinner yarn that I use, I just following the pattern sts, don’t even have to worry or adjust the sts and the size came out perfect!! It fit both of my nieces, 7 years old and 5 years old, aren’t they cute??
