This cardigan have been sitting in my living room for over a week waiting for the button, at the end I just go with the cover button since I can’t find any interesting button at any store. I knit this cardigan as I go along, it turn out quite O.K. except a few thing I wish I done it differently like wider the collar and the shoulder. It is a bit tight on the shoulder if I wear a thicker shirt under it, anyway is too late to alter it right now. I definitely will knit another one, but this time I gonna use wool instead of acrylic yarn, cos acrylic yarn tend to be a bit more stiff.

Beside, I have start on Apocalypse Hoodies by Ysolda. I’m been trying to do the figure-8 cast on last nite but not sure I do it right or not?? still have a doubt on it..may be I should re-do it again..it doesn’t look right to me..

I don’t mind to manually unwind a hunk of yarn into ball, but the most annoying part is to untwist and untangle along the way. I usually put the yarn around a huge pillow and unwind it very slowly and my arm hurts after a few ball of yarn. After searching around, I can’t find any local store selling either yarns swift or ball winder and if I purchase online the shipping cost are way too expensive. So, I came out with a very brief sketch and my husband help me on the detail measurement and the fixing part.. I hand over the drawing to one of my office worker and TA..DAh..he have cut out all the parts for me with the scraps material that leftover from other jobs..and guess what..it only cost me $1.50 for the screw.!! Now I could unwind the yarn without any pain but I think I would consider a ball winder since I can’t work that out.

the whole swift are made from 1″ thick arcylic..and it could spin..

spin fast..

Last week me and my husband went to Penang ( an island at north of Malaysia) for a nice sunny beach vacation, and to celebrate my husband birthday. We take a very slow and relax drive to there, when we arrived, guess what, rain !! but we were o.k with it, we went straight out to the poolside after the rain stop, just to enjoy a bit of wind and the sound of wave (actually is a bit chill that day, we don’t even dare to dive in the water). The rain grown into storm at night and continue for the whole weekend while we were there.
On the second day, we decided to head up to the Penang Hill to search for the plants called Jade Vine ( actually this is my main reason to go to Penang). It is a type of creeper vine that produce beautiful blue flower, the flower look like a bunch of tiny horns hang down from the plants. My parent used to grown them in the garden, it look like rain drop of blue flower all over the garden when the flowers blooms, is really romantic.. then one day my parent remove the plants.. I never seen that plants again until many years ago, I saw it in Penang Hill. I remember there is one lady selling the plants, I didn’t buy it then because I haven’t got my own place that time.

After an hour of search the way to the hill and 30 mins ride of cable car to the top of the hill, we finally arrived. Immediately, I went to search for the lady, but she wasn’t there and sadly I heard from other vendors, she have passed away. Berfore we head back down the hill, we decided go to the cafe have a drink and admire the plants that grown there, but I ‘m not ready to give up yet, so I went chatting up with the gardener there, and he agree to give me some cutting of the plants !!! it sitting on the container now, hopefully it will roots and grow..

Full blooms of Jade Vine.
