My second Wicked is done!! I didn’t made any change on this one cos I think the short sleeve version is as cute as it is. The only thing that I do differently is the pocket, I pick up the stitches from the body piece instead of doing the pocket separately and attach with whip stitching. I want the top line of the pocket look neatly knitted rather than seam on. I used Jaeger Extra Fine Merino Aran for this Wicked, the yarn is fantastic to work on and the stitches are so well define, is a shame this yarn been discontinued..hmm….I might have to stock up before it disappear from the market.

Is been awhile since I post any of my knitting progress, reason is ( beside my job ) I been spending all my free time trying to finish all my knitting list before my winter trip..I am hoping I can finish one sweater a week, (a week..I know I am a bit nuts)… I started with a simple sweater for my husband, the sweater fly through my finger like a magic, within a week, finished…as I was happily seaming the sleeve, I found out that the sleeve is really huge it doesn’t fit nicely on the arm hole and is way too long..haiz..now I have to spend more time to fix it. Why didn’t I take measurement, why do I always assume things will work out.

look at the big lump of extra skin on the arm hole ..
While my husband sweater is sitting in the basket waiting to be fix, I couldn’t resist a short sleeve Wicked anymore, it is way too cute to pass on…here is the progress after a week of knitting..

Recently I am obsess about puff sleeve..I turn the Wicked sweater into puff sleeve Wicked. It take me quite awhile to finish this sweater because:
First, I did a wrong size.
Second, wrong gauge( didn’t swatch).
Thirdly, added 4 sts on each underarm( trying to avoid the hole)
..so end up I redo the 3/4 of body part twice and I have to decrease about 40 sts right from underarm just to make it fitted. The top still a bit loose on the breast area and the arm hole but I am quite ok with it, I still can fit a tight t-shirt underneath. As for the puff sleeve, I just add 2 sts every 3 row until it puff enough and do a sudden decrease. Basically, the whole top have been change due to all the mistake I done, the only thing that I follow is the CO sts.
Meanwhile, I feel really disappointed on my Japanese cardigan, I have finished the whole cardigan with every bit of yarn and I have to seam the sleeve using different yarn. Then..disaster happen, it didn’t fit!!!!..The arm hole are way too small, I can’t even pull it up to my shoulder. And the neckline is too big, even I can pull up the sleeve it still drop too much on my back. Since I don’t have any more yarn, I can’t really redo it..so it will be in the pond soon.
