The progress of my knitting is getting slower and slower, seem like I lose interest in it or may be is because of my greediness. I cast on so many that I could handle, now I have to finish at least two of it before I can cast on any new project.

I cast on Ash from Rowan 36 few week ago, actually I don’t have the pattern I just draft it out and making it my way but the whole top is based on the Ash.  I cast on with the Japanese yarn called Novia I brought long ago, and I think it will be superb for this top instead of using mohair yarn plus I really need to use up my stash, is getting out of hand now. At the moment this top is at the back panel and is super slow and bored.

Another project I cast on is the Gathered Cardi from Knit.1 mag, I love this top since I saw the F.O. from Jenna. I went ahead brought 6 balls of Lion Brand Cotton Ease and the same color as Jenna’s( hopes she don’t mind) from Ebay even though the shipping cost is a bit expensive compare to the cost of yarn. I received the yarn a week ago in a small parcel tightly seal, when I open it only contain 5 balls. I email the seller G instantly, thought maybe she made a mistake on the quantity..but after two day waiting the seller didn’t bother to reply my email. I file a dispute report to Paypal and leave a comment on the feedback page.  On the next day, the seller send a message to the Paypal said that I try to cheat her, I was shock and angry…I mean for ONE ball of yarn???  I just don’t get it, why would I want to cheat her for one ball of yarn which only cost USD4. I never encounter such a problem until now and is really frustrated, next time I really have to be more careful and check through the comment on others buyer before I purchase, such a dishonest seller!!

The very last time I knitted a lace shawl is about two year ago, it took me quite awhile to finished, since then I been afraid to knit another shawl. Until two week ago, a sudden urge for shawl have hit me and I finally took the courage to start the Shetland Triangle shawl from the Wrapstyle. To my surprise this shawl is such a enjoyable knit, the pattern are easy to remember and it only took me one and half week to finished.

I done the repeats of the body chart 14 time instead of 8 time, which I wish I have done more. The shawl turn out to be a bit small for me. As for the yarn I used is Knitpicks Palette, the yarn is not bad , not rough on skin but is a bit too warm for the weather here. If I would do it again I would use something like silk, goes up one needle size and bind off much looser. Ohh..I also have omitted the last two row of the edging chart so that the edge will not be too pointed, instead it will have a nice scallop shape.

Pattern : Shetland Triangle Shawl by Wrapstyle
Yarn :Knitpicks Palette
Color: Merlot Heather
Yardage : about 500 yards
Needle: 4mm
